Riveredge Nature Center, Inc. was founded to promote conservation through education, encouraging people to connect with nature. We inspire individuals of all ages to step away from daily distractions and explore the outdoors. By working within our sanctuary and partnering with communities, we bring nature closer to families, schools, and neighborhoods, integrating it into everyday life.

• Connecting Communities with Nature – Riveredge makes outdoor exploration accessible through free memberships for 4th graders, family nature clubs, and partnerships with museums, YMCAs, and parks.
• Outdoor Education – We integrate nature into school learning with Scientist in Residence programs, a nature-based 4K initiative, and expanded environmental science education.
• Wellness & Adventure – Our programs promote well-being through memory care cafés, autism-friendly activities, adventure education, and expanded summer camps.
• Environmental Research – For 40+ years, Riveredge has led citizen science and species restoration efforts while supporting student research and internships.
