Do you enjoy making crafts? Do you want to volunteer from the comfort of your own home? Turn your hobby into healing by becoming a craft volunteer for hospice! Heartland Hospice needs more talented craft volunteers to donate items that will bring comfort to patients facing life-limiting illnesses. The sky's the limit when it comes to what you can donate, but some suggestions include: memory/comfort bears made out of loved one's clothing, crocheted or fleece lap blankets/shawls/slippers, full-size or decorative pillows, veterans-appreciation or patriotic items, stuffed animals (teddy bears), seasonal gifts or any other craft item that will brighten a patient's room.

Items can be dropped off at Heartland's business office in Milwaukee or we'll come to you. This is your chance to make a BIG difference without even leaving your doorstep! Please contact us if you're interested in donating handmade gifts of comfort to our hospice patients. We're waiting to hear from you! Would your school, church, business or family like to "Adopt a Senior?"

Many opportunities are available to share a senior's needs such as lawn mowing, snow removal, light housekeeping or visits.  This gives volunteers the ability to schedule when you are available.  Such as one person helping for one month and another volunteer helping out another month...and so on...and so on...
