Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled volunteer with expertise in Microsoft Access Databases to assist our team in managing and maintaining custom databases. These databases are vital tools that help us collect, track, and evaluate client and outcome data, ensuring we can measure our impact and continue improving services for the community.


Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update existing Access databases to ensure accuracy and functionality. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving database issues. Support staff with reporting, data entry processes, and custom queries. Provide recommendations for improvements or enhancements to database systems. Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility for program evaluation and reporting.


Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Access, including forms, queries, reports, and relational database design. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Experience with database management and data analysis preferred. Ability to communicate technical concepts in clear, user-friendly terms. Commitment to confidentiality and respect for sensitive client data.


Time Commitment

Flexible. We are happy to work with your schedule and availability. Most tasks can be completed remotely, with occasional check-ins with staff.

Volunteer: Fundraising Committee Members

Description

It is the mission of the Youth and Family Project to provide supportive services to youth and families, helping them achieve an increased sense of safety hope and belonging. To continue to support families in Washington County, we are looking for energetic and fun-loving individuals to serve on our Fundraising Committee. Our goal is to develop creative fundraisers aligned with our mission that bring families and community together!

Major Tasks of the Fundraising Committee:

Develop and distribute a compelling annual appealBuild on 2024 successes to expand Christmas in July and Nightmares Around Elm Street haunted walking tour fundraising eventsContribute ideas on new fundraising opportunitiesParticipate in at least one Farmers Market booth to promote upcoming eventsHelp recruit and manage volunteers at fundraising eventsMonitor fundraising progress and investigate other opportunities to ensure agency achieves annual fundraising goals


Experience in fundraising or event planning is helpful, but not required!

Time Commitment:

Fundraising committee meets virtually, twice per month on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 3:30-4:30 pm. Responsibilities require 1-4 hours of work per week. Attend at least one Youth and Family Project event per year. Committee members are asked to commit to a 2 year term, if possible.

Child Protection Policy: The Youth and Family Project, Inc. provides many services to vulnerable populations and recognizes that anyone may have the potential to abuse children in some way. The Youth and Family Project will take all reasonable steps to ensure unsuitable people are prevented from working with children. Prior to volunteer work, all prospective volunteers must complete an application form. Volunteer: Lawn Care

The Youth and Family Project is looking for an individual to regularly mow the agency lawn. Lawn mower will be provided. The area to be mowed is small and generally flat with the exception of one slight incline on the east side of the building. Schedule is completely flexible and the mowing can be completed at any time. 

Child Protection Policy: The Youth and Family Project, Inc. provides many services to vulnerable populations and recognizes that anyone may have the potential to abuse children in some way. The Youth and Family Project will take all reasonable steps to ensure unsuitable people are prevented from working with children.
