Greenbush Kettle Prairie Invasive Species Control

Expired

Description

Greenbush Kettle Prairie is a remnant prairie that never endured a farmer's plow breaking its sod. Since fire no longer periodically burns this prairie, non-native and native invasive species are creeping into it. Volunteers are needed to knock these presisdent plants.

For each event come dressed for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and bring work/garden gloves, drinking water, pruners, and insect spray.

We will meet at the Greenbush Kettle parking lot located off Kettle Moraine Drive between Hwy 67 and County Road T near Greenbush. If unable to come for the whole time, directions to where the group is working will be posted at the parking lot.
