Participants with physical and cognitive disabilities will be paired with a volunteer to take a walk together with a vision of building relationships in our community and providing an hour of respite for the parents and caregivers.
Volunteers meet on the porch of The Hub (303 Water St. West Bend) at 10:45 AM and will be given brief instructions for the event. Participants will arrive by 11 AM and will be paired with a volunteer. Once everyone arrives, the group will head out on the Eisenbahn Trail for an hour long walk together. Volunteers will get to know their buddy by talking and walking with them. Around 11:40 AM the group will turn back toward The Hub, arriving around noon. Volunteers are free to go when their participant is reunited with their caregivers. Dress for the weather, we will be outside for this event! We are able to accommodate families and groups volunteering together.
