Description

Do you enjoy getting to know people over a great cup of coffee? Are you the type of person who loves knowing what’s happening in the community?  Or maybe you’ve always wanted to learn how to make the perfect shot of espresso, or know the difference between a cappuccino and an Americano? If any of these sounds like you, you would make a great addition to The Hub’s team of volunteer baristas!

The Volunteer Center is embarking on its newest venture - a “for-purpose” coffee shop called The Hub. Located on the roundabout just outside downtown West Bend, The Hub is a brand new way to engage the community in giving back. Whether seeking volunteer opportunities, or just knowing a portion of their coffee is supporting a great cause, the community will feel good about getting their caffeine fix at The Hub.

Duties:

- Greet and welcome all visitors

- Answer any questions customer have about coffee and provide recommendations
- Prepare beverage & food orders

- Cashier

- Help promote community events

- Bus tables and assist with cleaning and stocking

Commitment:
Help as much as you’d like! At minimum, volunteers should be able to commit to two, 4-hour shifts per month. We will be flexible to accommodate your schedule.  Shifts will be scheduled in 4-hour blocks.

The Hub will be open Tuesday - Saturday from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Age: Volunteers need to be at least 14 years old and show that they are responsible and committed to providing top-notch service; as well as possess a willingness to share their passion for volunteering with others.

Experience: No experience necessary! You will be professionally trained by our coffee shop managers to make outstanding drinks. A love of good coffee and a passion for giving is all you need to apply!
