Volunteer Opportunity with Habitat for Humanity in Washington & Dodge Counties

Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real difference in our community? Habitat for Humanity is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help on our home builds in West Bend, Hartford and coming soon, Kewaskum!

No experience? No problem! Our skilled construction crew will provide guidance, tools, and safety equipment (gloves, glasses, and hard hats). If you do have construction experience, your expertise is highly valued.

Volunteer Details:

When: Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM (sign up September HERE ~ October HERE)

Where: West Bend & Hartford and coming soon, Kewaskum and Beaver Dam

What to Bring: Closed-toe shoes and durable clothing.  A hat, water bottle, and extra clothes for added comfort.  Most volunteers pack a lunch, but nearby restaurants are also an option

Note: Weather may impact our schedule. Be sure to RSVP with our Volunteer Director to receive important updates.

Whether you can give a full day or just a couple of hours, your time and effort are invaluable. By volunteering, you’re helping us reduce construction costs and further our mission to provide affordable housing for families in need.

Volunteer: We Need You! ~Join our Family Selection & Nurturing Committee Members

Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, strengthen communities, and empowers low-income households. The Family Selection & Nurturing Committee’s purpose is to guide selection and assist households pursuing enrollment into Habitat for Humanity’s Homeownership Program.  The committee also serves to support the families through the transition to becoming homeowners. The Family Selection & Nurturing Committee aims to be thorough in its processes and empathetic to the families we reach.

Our committee members are: Empathetic, Non-judgmental, Community focused, able to attend monthly meetings via Zoom or in person, and be comfortable mentoring and interviewing Habitat for Humanity Partner Families.  

The monthly time commitment ranges from 2-4+ hours/month depending on your level of involvement in the committee. Meetings are typically held on Mondays at 6:00 PM.

We ask for a year of participation if you are accepted.

We hope you'll join us to support the families in our community!
