Volunteer: Become a Recreation Volunteer- even one day makes a difference!Do you like spending time outside and want to help others have a great experience?
We are looking for Recreation Volunteers (formerly Group Hosts) to help in a variety of ways. Blue Lotus is almost fully booked for the summer with groups who serve people with disabilities, seniors, those experiencing economic hardship, and many others who have life challenges. These outings occur seven days a week, during the day and in the evening. This means we need plenty of volunteers to help ensure our guests have a fun, relaxing and safe experience. Come and enjoy time outdoors with guests who will certainly touch your heart. If you can help us for even one day, you will make a difference. You can assist by: Helping guests in and out of boats Pushing boats in and out Taking fish off hooks Watching people in the pool Spending time with a guest who would like to share their story Leading groups on a trail walk Assisting wherever neededWhile the boats are always our greatest area of need, being willing to help with even one or two of these items will make a big difference. If you have not previously completed a volunteer application, we will need to have one submitted before your first time helping.
