What We Do
Purpose Statement: We teach, learn, lead and serve, connecting people with the University of Wisconsin, and engaging with them in transforming lives and communities.
The UW-Madison Division of Extension Washington County provides educational programs in agriculture, and 4-H & positive youth development. We are an outreach of the University of Wisconsin system.
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Extension Educators are the representatives of the United States Department of Agriculture, the University of Wisconsin, and the Land Use and Planning Committee of the Washington County Board of Supervisors
Serving Washington County residents since 1918, they design educational programs which apply research, knowledge and resources to meet the issues and needs of Washington County residents.
They take pride in being engaged throughout Washington County in responding to local needs and concerns, bringing the knowledge and resources of the University of Wisconsin to residents where they need them most - where they live and work.
