Who We Are
Mission: To provide outstanding orchestral performances that engage the community and inspire and educate audiences of all ages.
We are a regional, semi-professional orchestra centered in Washington County. Founded in 1968 by the late music professor Albert “Bud” Asch, the 62-member Kettle Moraine Symphony presents high quality live orchestra performances for all ages. Concerts are at the Schauer Arts Center in Hartford, Our Savior’s Lutheran in West Bend and various locations in Washington County. The Kettle Moraine Symphony is incorporated as a non-profit 501 (c)3 organization, supported by grants and donations, and overseen by a volunteer board of directors.
What We Do
We typically perform four concerts per year (September through May). We connect to our community by giving concerts that appeal to all ages and musical tastes, by providing avenues for young people to perform and listen, and by serving a wide range of populations, including our military veterans. We have forged long-held ties to area music teachers, schools, the university, theater and music groups, and music lovers of all kinds.
Research has shown that music has the power to inspire, excite, soothe, and heal!
