Roots and Branches

Mission: To grow a more beautiful community today and plant seeds of pride and stewardship to improve the natural environment of West Bend tomorrow.

Roots and Branches is a privately funded 501(c)3 non-profit that positively impacts the quality of life for all who live, work and visit West Bend. Since 1990, Roots and Branches works tirelessly to create a community that highlights the aesthetic beauty of businesses and neighborhoods, giving West Bend its unique personality and energy.

From the fabulous sidewalk gardens in downtown West Bend that are packed with colorful flowers, to our community gardens on Oak Street. From the Garden Tour featuring and showcasing local homeowners and their properties filled with beauty to the Mayor’s Beautification Awards and Business Beautification Awards – We ensure our community remains thriving, vibrant place to live, work and play. 

We improve the natural environment through clean-up, planting, and maintaining gardens around town and in the downtown area.  We educate all ages through seminars and Arbor Day programs in the schools.  We recognize those who improve their properties and encourage all to be better stewards of the environment in our community and host “The Most Fun Party” in town every September.
