About Camp:
Pine Ridge Riding Center has been holding summer camps, first in Mequon and now in the town of Polk, for 23 years. If your child dreams about horses, treat them to a week of camp. We have many returning campers and some often sign up for more than one camp. We have a large indoor arena and horses and ponies of all shape and sizes. Daily activities:
Campers will spend time riding each day of camp, with the first day devoted to safety. Riders learn how to catch, groom, and tack up their assigned horse for the week. Each day campers will also learn about breeds, colors, markings, horse anatomy, etc. as well as basic care of the horse.
Then at the end of the week, the campers put on a mini horse show/demonstration for friends and family the last hour on Friday. Each camper will be awarded a certificate and photo at that time.
All campers will be required to wear a helmet any time they are riding or working around the horses. Pine Ridge Riding Center will supply helmets if needed. Also, for safety and comfort, please wear smooth soled shoes/boots with a heel and long pants.
Your child will have fun and learn during their summer vacation:
- Week-long schedule – Monday thru Friday - 8:00 AM - 12:00 NOON (June, July, August)
- Beginner, Intermediate, and Cowboy camps
- Patient experienced camp assistants
- Gentle horses and ponies
- Weekly rates: $275
- $50 deposit required with camp application (see link above)
