Who We Are
Mission: To connect seniors with caring volunteers to ensure that they are able to maintain independence.
Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County is a community-based non profit organization providing resources for seniors that includes transportation to medical appointments, thereby empowering independence. Founded in 2005, we operate with a small staff and a family of active caring volunteers!
Our vision is that with these services, all Washington County aging adults 60+ will have access to resources necessary to remain independent and continue healthy aging in place.
What We Do
Our volunteers provide “good neighbor” assistance to seniors, including:
-
Transportation to medical appointments.
-
Grocery shopping with or without client.
Companionship through in-home and phone visits.
-
Kindness Crews that share meals and social time.
-
Seasonal yard work - leaf raking, lawn care, and snow removal.
-
Food delivery for food pantry clients and Meals on Wheels in Germantown and Kewaskum.
-
Community service days for organizations wanting to give back.
We also operate h.e.l.p. Corner, a volunteer-run program that loans durable medical equipment such as, wheelchairs, crutches, and shower chairs for a small deposit. With locations in West Bend and Hartford, we ensure essential resources are available to those in need.
Join Us! Make a meaningful impact by helping seniors in our community live independently.
