We are seeking caring and dependable volunteers to provide ongoing grocery shopping assistance to clients in the Hartford area. Many of our clients rely on regular support to access groceries and maintain their independence. Volunteers may either shop on behalf of clients or accompany them to the grocery store, building meaningful relationships through consistent service.
Responsibilities:
Provide grocery shopping assistance on an ongoing basis, typically every other week or monthly. Shop for groceries using a client’s shopping list when needed. Accompany clients to grocery stores and provide support during shopping trips. Assist with carrying, loading, and unloading groceries as appropriate. Offer friendly conversation and companionship during visits. Follow all confidentiality and safety guidelines.
