Roots and Branches needs with our Plant Sale Fundraiser and Adopt-a-Plot plant pick up May 14th-16th and hopes you will consider pitching in for a great cause. Enjoy being outside, meeting fantastic community-oriented people, and helping MAKE AN IMPACT in our community.
The sale will be at the corner of S. Main and Vine in West Bend, rain or shine.
Volunteer times are:
Thursday, May 14
6:00 pm - finish Plant unloading/sorting and set up.
Friday, May 15
8:00 am - Noon Plant unloading/sorting and set up
11:45 am - 4:00 pm Work during the sale - plant helpers or cashier assistants
Noon - 7:00 pm Assist those picking up Adopt-a-Plot plants shifts are 12:00-2:00 and 4:00-6:00pm
3:30 pm - 7:00 pm Work during the sale - plant helpers or cashier's assistants
Saturday, May 16
8:00 am - 11:00 am Work during the sale - plant helpers or cashier assistants
10:30 am - 1:00 pm Work during the sale - plant helpers or cashier assistants
1:00 pm - 2:30 pm Sale tear down and clean up
What will you be doing?
Plant unloading/sorting and set up: Help unload annuals and perennials as they come to the sale lot and sort them to the proper areas. All plants are placed on the ground so there is light lifting and bending.
Looking for adults or teens 15 years and older.
Plant Helpers: This entails periodic straightening of pots in their rows,
greeting shoppers, offering carts to shoppers, accompanying customers with
larger purchases to their vehicles and bringing carts back to the sale lot.
Looking for adults or teens 15 years and older. For adults wanting to bring along a child, this would be a good fit for those 12 years or older who enjoy interacting with people.
Cashier Assistants: Complete a tally sheet for customer's order before the customer approaches the cashier. Adding the total amount due is done at the cashier table.

Adopt-a-Plot Plant Pick-up Assistants: Stay near plants sorted and set aside for the Adopt-a-Plots and Garden Tour hosts. You will be assisting those coming to pick up their plants with identifying their order as well as letting shoppers know that these plants are not for sale. There are frequently gaps between pick-ups when you are simply plant-sitting. A chair will be provided. Adults only, please.
Tear Down and Clean Up: Taking down signs, returning shopping carts, moving unsold plants back to holding area.
This would be a good fit for adults with a child 12 years or older that likes to be on the move, adults, or teens 15 years and older.
You can volunteer for two-hour shifts, if necessary.
We are looking for adults, children 12 years and older
accompanied by an adult, and teens 15 years and older as noted in the activity
positions. We are happy to complete any forms for volunteer hours earned.
