Help spread Holiday Cheer by becoming a Gingerbread House Volunteer!
We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with Gingerbread House Program sign up. Approximately 10-15 volunteers are needed each Sunday from September 22 through November 24 from 12:00-5:00 pm. Volunteers will assist families in creating wish lists and program registration. Volunteers are welcome to help out as many dates as possible. Additionally, sign up will travel throughout Washington County community locations to reduce the amount of transportation participants are required to secure.

Volunteer Role Descriptions:
Wish List Reviewers (3-6 volunteers)
- Check eligibility: ID, proof of residency, referral source
- Review completed forms & ensure all are complete, legible
- Review gift ideas and explain wish lists are not a guarantee of a particular item
Greeter (1 volunteer)
- Greet participants as they enter sign up space
- Direct participants where to go
Floater (1-2 volunteers)
- Assist participants in completing forms
- Make developmentally appropriate gift suggestions, when needed
Check-out Numberer (1 volunteer)
- Assign Family Numbers
- Enter data into spreadsheet
- Give participants Gift Pick-Up instructions
Check-out Scanner (1 volunteer)
- Scan all sign up forms into laptop
- Organize and store all hard copies and digital files
Data Assist (1 volunteer)
- Assit Check-Out volunteers as needed
- Explain gift pick up instructions to participants
Spanish Interpreter (1-2 volunteers)
- Accompany Spanish-speaking families through the sign-up process
- Assist families in completing forms in English
