Join us at the United Way Kickoff and help package 75,000 meals that will be given to 6 local food pantries! Volunteers will be trained on how to package the food. Training will take ten minutes; the rest of the time will be spent packaging the food. There is no heavy lifting. There are jobs for everyone age 5 and above. People of any ability can participate.
Some participants will be packaging food (food packaging groups will consist of 10-12 people at a table. If you have more than 10-12 people that would like to be involved, we will try to put the remainder of your participants at another table nearby), some assembling boxes, some helping in the sanitation area, etc. Lots of different jobs. Please come ready to pitch in wherever needed!
Event runs from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. in the Ziegler Building at the Washington County Fair Grounds. Please arrive 20-30 minutes early for check in. Introductions and instructions begin at 4:45 p.m.
Some help will be needed for set up and tear down. If you or your group can assist with set up, we need people from 1 p.m. - 3:30, and some people that can stay until 9:00 p.m. for clean up.
