We are looking for volunteers to greet donors and family participants, assist sponsors in unloading their vehicles, sorting and organizing gifts/donations. Volunteers will also be needed to greet families, track gifts coming and going, organize and sort items, locate gifts, and assist in taking items to their vehicles. Some heavy lifting may be required but rolling utility carts will be available to assist volunteers in bringing gifts to and from vehicles.
December 10-16th, sponsors will be dropping off gifts between 10 and 6. We will have a small fridge, so volunteers are welcome to bring a lunch or snacks. Gift runners will greet sponsors, help unload donations from their vehicles and place donations in the assigned area.
December 18-21st between 12 and 6, families will pick up their gifts and volunteers will deliver gifts to families with transportation challenges. Gift runners will greet families and volunteers, locate gifts according to family number, and help load into vehicles.
Families are welcome to volunteer with children but please be mindful of their ability to volunteer in a space filled with toys. Youth under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
If you cannot commit to a full shift, please include the hours you are available in the comments section when you sign up or follow up with an email to gingerbread@youthandfamilyproject.org!
