On Saturday, July 27, The Youth and Family Project will host a Christmas In July fundraising event. This fundraiser will offer a fun afternoon for the whole family! Families can watch local “celebrity” athletes compete in zany competitions to become the Ultimate Holiday Champions! There will be games, concessions, a white elephant silent auction, and more! Volunteers are needed to help us pull off this event and ensure everyone has a blast!

Admission (2-3) (11:30 am - 2:30 pm)
Volunteers will greet participants and guests at the fundraising event. They will collect admission fees and permit entrance into the high school’s fenced in Track and Field complex.
Concessions (1-2) (11:30 am - 3 pm)
Volunteers will take food orders from a limited menu of food and drink items for the event. Volunteers should be comfortable handling money and practicing safe food handling procedures, like washing hands frequently, wearing gloves if needed, etc.
Snowball fight (2) (11:45 am - 3 pm)
Volunteers will help participants fill tube socks with polyfill or stuffing. They will supervise a fake snowball fight for participants of all ages, ensuring that participants are able to join and play in a safe, fun manner.
Coloring table (1-2) (11:45 am - 3 pm)
Volunteers will be responsible for supervising a table of Christmas-themed coloring pages for children. They will ensure that all materials are used appropriately.
Celebrity Athlete Support People (3-4) (11:30 am - 3 pm)
Volunteers will make sure the athletes are in designated locations for each event at the appropriate time. They will also help athletes put holiday-themed costumes on, ensure they have water to stay hydrated, etc.
Decorations and Set Up (10) (10:00 am - 12:00 pm)
Volunteers will help set up games and booths and decorate the space festively.
Clean Up (10) (3:00 pm - 4:00 pm)
Volunteers will help take down decorations, pack up extra supplies and clean as necessary.
